Hi everyone!!
I absolutely love penguins and have several in my collection. I'd been looking for this particular penguin doorstop for many years and was never able to find one until recently. This very dapper cast iron Lively Penguin was cast by Lakeside Art Products in 1932. I love everything about this one from his bright colors to his top hat and tuxedo. And you can't help but love that happy face and pose!! I've not been able to find any information regarding Lakeside Art Products. I'm not sure if they were located in Chicago , Michigan or Wisconsin. He still looks fantastic after 93 years. He's quite large and heavy and measures 11 1/4" tall, 7 1/8" wide. He weighs in at 11 1/2lbs!!
