      Ted that is a way cool DeSoto hood ornament I had never seen one, the conquistador helmet is fabulous! I knew about the DeSoto but never knew it was named for the explorer. Super post, thanks!

      Hi, Jenni...yes it is a real beauty!

      I saw the vehicle at a car show, and was impressed with this conveyance. If I can find the rest of this DeSoto's photos I will post them.

      I am happy to have shared the origin of this car's name. Sharing historical data benefits us all. The more that we come to know of things, the better off each of us is.
