Well here in the UK it is coming into the start of car boot sale season. I'm not sure what you would call them in the USA, lots of people turning up in cars full of things they don't want and sell them from tables.
Anyway, our first local one was at the weekend, and as my wife does vintage fairs, it is a good place for her to get stock. Of course, me being me, I cannot resist a good rummage, and I was looking through a small box of various small items, when the seller said "You can have the whole box for a fiver". I thought it would just be rude not to, so five pounds later and I had a box of......stuff!
Looking through it all was fun, but by far the most curious item was a very old looking, and slightly bashed, medallion. At first I thought the picture was of a man looking through a telescope. Then after looking a bit closer, it appears to be a sword going through someone who looks like your typical 'Jesus' figure, and a Z at the other end. The script on the other side is nothing I recognise, but it looks like it may be from somewhere like Iran or somewhere similar.
So, can anyone tell me what this is? The photographs have come out quite bright, it definately looks much darker and older in real life.
Thanks
Hamish

Typical Jesus figure ?.hummmmm..
I don’t think a Muslim country like Iran at any period of time would have a coin with Jesus on it ,,unless like you said it’s a sword going through his head and it’s a commemorative celebration of when they killed Jesus

the messiah has reigned he came in peace and became the light of man, he is alive
Yes apostate,,He is alive ....But He did die,,He was killed and resurrected on the third day I don’t think we were disputing that point at all
I was just saying I don’t think Iranian coin would have a Image of Jesus
