If you blink you might miss it, because it's a very brief sighting, hence the blurry hand on the left side of the image.
In the first half hour of the film, Dustin Hoffman's character decides to purge the apartment of his departed wife's effects. He goes room to room gathering items, and one of them is a Singer model 221, AKA the Featherweight.

If you're gonna travel with your sewing machine, it's a lot more pleasant to deal with a machine that weighs only eleven pounds, versus something like a Singer model 201 which weighs like thirty-two pounds:
