So my mom recently gave me the big picture of the little girls. It always hung in my great grandparents bathroom at the farm then my grandmother's, then my parents. I'm the only girl so got it. The back was coming off so I took it off to redo it. There were these 2 gorgeous prints behind it. The girl is by Gene Pressler. The colors are so vivid! The other is flower girl in Holland by George hitchcock.. They are both wonderful! Why did people hide prints behind other ones?? No telling how long they have been there.

My guess would be, that frames were expensive or had to be made. And it was easy to swap out prints as you got tired of one?
