Bronmar thank you for your super compliment, this aqua glass is so summery it reminds me of the pool or Caribbean sea, and I'm really happy that you liked it
Phil I'm always delighted to find a label on a glass animal & wonder why some people remove them. Thank you my friend for your awesome praise
Hello Jenni.I love the deep aqua blue color this has..I was born in Toledo that’s the home of Libbey glass..My aunt and uncle had a cottage in marble head and we would stay there a couple of weeks every summer and go to Cedar Point. There’s a lot of well known pottery and glass companies southern ohio my mom and aunt would go shopping at.Most had outlet stores.I don’t remember going to Summit. My wife loves art glass and over the years my mom gave her all kinds of beautiful pieces.I’m getting caught up on all of the interesting pieces you’ve posted in the last year.
JB I'm so glad you enjoyed this aqua glass horse & thank you so much for all the loves today for my posts, I'm truly happy you liked them
Ohio makes such beautiful glass & pottery too, there were such wonderful co's including Fostoria, Degenhart, Boyd and even Anchor Hocking, whose glass bakeware I use to this day. Like the WV glass co's I think it has something to do with being near the rivers, I'm certainly not knowledgeable about how they make glass but have a book on the WV co's (Viking, Pilgrim etc) and they called it "glass by the river"
Lovin the art glass New...Thank you for all your posts and the sharing aspect you give this place....
Thanks Truth for the very kind words & loves. It's great to share our things here & esp to be appreciated, I'm really happy you like my glass. You've got an awesome collection yourself :)
