I picked up this hot air engine at the Cool Spring Engine Show, PA, a few weeks ago. It was made some time in the turn of the 20th century, I believe 1903-1910. It's amazing how a toy can last this long in the condition it is in when children are playing with it. Children must have respected their toys back then. This hot air engine runs like a new engine and is exceptionally powerful for a hot air engine. Possibly because it has such a large cylinder wall to heat up.
Most Excellent
The old toys were made to last. This is quite the interesting device.
Beautiful Toy !!
