I think my penchant for the wilder shores of art glass is pretty well known, so you can probably imagine my excitement when this turned up on eBay AU recently.
Luckily I was able to win it cheaply despite another bidder in the mix, & the seller did a great job of packing it securely for a trip across Australia.
It is made from bright yellow opaque glass (cadmium content verified under UV) with a bottom - up spatter in white & dark oxblood red/brown. The spatter is closer to a frit as the texture is pretty rough. There are four applied pale pink petals or leaves on the top rim.
The shape in itself is odd enough, with a square base tapering up to a square sectioned neck, but the weirdness is breaking out all over in the loud colour combination & Victorian style petal top. It measures 28.5 cm tall.
I am not really sure if this is Tango era or a little earlier as it mashes together different eras in one crazy cool cocktail.
On the ugly/beautiful scale it scores 11/10!
I think most likely Bohemian origin...maybe Kralik?
Circa early 20th century is my best guess...

      Many thanks, Kevin!
Yes, this is definitely on a similar level to that piece, & they are now next to each other in a cabinet I reserve for tall specimens (after a bit of a reshuffle).
