Many interesting finds from the estate of a woman who was in the service and would mail stuff back home. This is one of those pieces. Along with Guangxu era Chinese porcelain, there is also German pieces from KPM and Meissen. This cobalt blue and gold scallop dish is a 19th Century K.P.M. Piece. The front has what looks like a royal monogram with a crown above it. Couldn’t find the monogram but maybe someone does. The back is marked with an encircled blue Eagle scepter mark used from 1849 to 1870, and a red KPM logo. From the markings it could be from the second quarter to third quarter of the 19th century. The crown above the monogram looks like the royal Prussian crown. This dish measures 7”x6” and is exquisitely painted and in excellent condition. I’ve seen photos of her curio cabinets and all her pieces were very well maintained. Any info on the exact date or monogram feel free to let me know.
It is just FABULOUS !!!!!
