The U.S.S. Missouri was commissioned by the U.S. Navy in 1944 and participated in battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Site of peace treaty signing with Japan 2nd Sept 1945. Now a museum ship alongside U.S.S. Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor Hawaii
