Serial 610063 FC super Diamond .. cant find this brand anywhere. Very cool item. Still works. Man I got it from oiled and cared for machine, it was his mothers, but moved away. I love going to sales and getting memories and cherished items from those that are not with us. I feel like a bit of them lives on and I enjoy the stories that go along with the items.
Hi, BananaHead. :-)
I suspect that what you have is known as a badged Singer model 15 clone.
What is that? Here is a pretty good run down:
https://sewing-machines.blogspot.com/2006/05/japanese-clones-of-40s-50s-and-60s.html
A lot of vintage sewing machine enthusiasts think that the U.S. government gave the blueprints for the Singer model 15 to the Japanese after WWII to help them rebuild their economy.
I myself think it's possible that some enterprising Japanese machinist took a Singer model 15 apart, and reverse engineered it.
Why would Singer not care overly much in either scenario?
The Singer model 15 was a pretty old design, and in the late 1940s/early 1950s, Singer was concentrating on their new slant-needle machine which they were convinced was a revolutionary design.
I tried to find the Super Diamond badge name at the needlebar dot org site, but it's more difficult nowadays, because it's offline (because of the death of the OP), and archive snapshots at archive dot org must be used.
The short version: no joy on finding that particular badge name. :-(
Here is a generical model 15 operator's manual at ISMACS:
