    This cast iron Akita dog okimono by Saegusa Sotaro is 6" long x 6" high x 2.5" wide. It has a faux copper finish and has SS's mark on the rear right leg. It weighs a svelte 3 lbs. It has a bit of light rust where the finish has been scratched so I will give it a motor oil bath to clear that up.

    I have one of these, though much smaller, in copper but this was part of a set which also included a large boar for $29. I have been looking for a boar though in copper or bronze, but this set was too nice to pass up. The boar is truly door stop size but this Akita just squeaks in as okimono size, though others may disagree. My current perspective may be a bit distorted from seeing the pair together.
