This is very heavy for its size and in a shape that is new to me. The rim shape is found on Welz baskets and like the baskets rims it's rim is rounded not cut. Also I don't recognise the décor.

That 8 pointed crimp is so similar to my big cadmium vase but not as deep. I wish my vase had the three ball foot …. LOL.

All those Welz characteristics reassembled in a new format. This is one crazy piece.
This has serious wow factor - totally off the scale!
I also have never seen this shape before, or the decor - looks like you bagged a super rare one...the crimp reminds me of one or two of my baskets but will have to take a closer look...
(Funnily enough it looks much taller than 19 cm, if I didn't know the size I'd guess closer to 25 cm or a bit more.)

Wow22 It certainly is one crazy piece. Just as I'm thinking I've seen it all this turns up to prove me wrong. IronLace, It is a super rare one, Marin. The crimp does appear on baskets and also on the large cadmium vase that vetraio50 refers to above. Also it seems to be used only on eight pointed rims.
