This is a super piece of Art Nouveau glass that I picked up yesterday as a Christmas present to myself!
It is made from a single layer of clear glass with an intense iridescent finish. There is applied purple corded decoration around the middle of the vase. It measures 10 cm tall, but is quite broad around despite the squat size. I haven't seen this shape before, & the thin purple cording is also a new one to me.
There is a polished out pontil mark on the base, plus a small indentation from the manufacturing process.
Some minor losses to the cording but not particularly noticeable, otherwise condition is very good for its age.
Bohemian origin, circa 1900.
Maybe Kralik? Can't say for certain as I haven't encountered either the form or exact decor before.
