Oh my ... time goes by and the journey has been fun. I don't have much more to share these days but will post when new goodies arrive.

Anyhow, my last 2024 post is a bit of revelation about a pair of cameras that have been in my collection for quite a while.

It’s strange how I can own a two Kodak cameras for decades and not notice their similarities. FWIW, I typically compare and assess cameras to the Nth degree. Maybe I can be forgiven because the No.3 Folding Brownie Model B (c.1907) was gifted to my oldest son years ago. After all, it never shared shelf-space with an early model (1905) No.2 Stereo Brownie (with the Brownie Automatic Shutter) acquired nearly 10 years later.

I was at my son’s house and started staring at the long-forgotten No.3. It occurred to me that the No.2 Stereo looks like a No.3 that got stuck in a taffy-puller … or … the No.2 Stereo was squished … or … one camera was captured by aliens and morphed into … sheesh ... somewhat imaginative thinking but you get the idea.

Aside from the obvious differences (i.e. single lens vs. stereo, shutters, etc.), both are remarkably similar with scalloped edge wooden front standards, similar focusing locks, boxy body shapes, and 3¼ inch high image formats.
