Hello everyone!!
Recently, I was fortunate enough to acquire this rare 1876 copy of Public And Private Life Of Animals printed in England. It was written by P.J. Stahl and illustrated by J.J. Grandville. The book was written and published in 1842, in France, in the aftermath of the French Revolution. I have an original 1842 French version, that was published in a two volume set, that I posted several years ago. I believe 1876 was the first year it was published in English. The illustrations are simply amazing. The book is a parody of animals telling their story. It's quite an entertaining read. The book isn't in the absolute best condition, but still a fair condition copy.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

Understood. I thought I'd provide a link to the English version for those of us mere mortals who don't speak French. };-)
