An extremely rare medallion issued by At&T known as, "Mercury Carrying Messages of the Gods." A relief sculpted by Paul Manship and placed into the floor (called a floorplate) of the entry to 195 Broadway in Manhattan. Issued as a bronze medal, 1oomm.
I have seen this design issued as gold pins, only for the most elite executives, perhaps for advanced management programs. Now, the rumor, and the rumor is there are Paul Manship (the sculptor) medallions and pins of the Four Elements (Water, Earth, Wind, and Fire) issued to the chairmen of the board.
This seems to be true, as I saw a full-size replica panel of "Water" - a classical goddess holding a ship and a trident while riding atop a dolphin through a foamy sea. The rectangular panel was roughly 8 feet long by 4 feet tall. It sold for an unmentionable amount of money. Invaluable, priceless.
earthandmagneto, That's beautiful. <3
Here's the Google Street View of the location (I went back a few snapshots, because in the most recent ones, it had obstructions):

Hi keramikos,
Yes, I have been to Manhattan, but I never got see this building. The building held a treasure trove of beautiful objects. The "Golden Boy" was taken down from the spire years before the building was sold. The statue was in front of a Verizon call center about 10 years ago. Now, I have heard it is in storage. This reminds me of the saying about those who do not learn history are condemned to repeat it...
