Deano

I've had this paperweight for about 5 years. It is signed and has a perfect bottom and super clean pontil break. I got the definitive I.D. on it recently after I used White-Out on the signature, which made all the difference. I then contacted the studio and Gallery of Taylor Backes in Boyertown, Pa. and he got back to me with the confirmation. I'm still talking with him and hope to be able to pin it down with a paperweight Line Name and Date in the near future. He's still working and is a multicolor specialist. He's not doing paperweights right now, but he does a lot of work presently with brightly colored Vases and Bowls, amongst many other things. His web sight is taylorbackes.com, check it out, he is talented.

Spectacular paperweight Deano!!
Thank you BHIFOS, yes, I thought the Tidal waves were very cool.
Thank you Jenny, it has a nice blend of Blues and the Dichroic is not overdone. I like it! Before I knew who made it, I had it as a favorite in my collection.
Thanks jscott, spectacular is a good word for it.
Further communication with the maker has revealed that this is called their "Atlas" series, with the Dichroic Foil as clouds, it is an abstract World view. It is a ongoing series that continues to today.
