Candy jar from the Franz Welz glassworks, with a paper label F.W.K. (silver version). The dimensions of the jar are 15 x 13 cm. Production time approx. 1920 - 1931 (most likely towards the end of this period).
I think this is a decor that was not associated with the Welz glassworks. This is a classic example of how glassworks in the Teplice area (and elsewhere) imitated successful decors. More photos are on my website: https://www.bohemianglass.org/katalog/doza-na-bonbony-veined-5982/detail/
This is the kind of practical item I just love.
No mark on the metal mount ???
There is no mark on the metal mount.
This is a wonderful item, & I had no idea that Welz made a decor like this, either!
Now I can live in hope that I might find an example of my own...in any shape!
It is interesting to note that the Bakelite grip on the handle matches the decor, being green, just like the handle on my orange line & spatter decor biscuit barrel also complements that particular decor. The metal ware on mine also has no markings at all.
your virtual musueum is so usefull I admire your work
