I would like to find out more about this vase. It has been made without a bottom. It is on a brass or bronze stand, I am fairly sure that this was made to go with the vase. It stands 16 inches high. It has three indistinct blue marks on the inside I have tried to shows these using a mirror . Can anyone shed any light on what's the vase was for and on the decorations? Many thanks.

well as usual as as GOAT of assessing blunders i got na idea
pure technically the shaping don,t exist in chinese porcelain, maybe an imitation of late Joseon stylising

ver yold vases, the so called cilinder the extremely expensive vases worldwide just a hand full )_ were used for bragging rights , ( emporer versus high dignataries )

the depiction is probablu an phenix versus a chemira mytical beast . which one ? the stylizing is not so well - flare tail and+- claws is there antler on it.s hat an qilin probably
flower prunus or peony doen,t look a crysantumum

function unknown not used for the japanase ikebana, drilling out is not so usefull ,and there is no residu from the drilling because this is very affordable ceramics and it is wasting value and it is not cobsistent with the en vogue time period of the 1920 ties, and flowers need water in the ikebana so they need a bottom, and it is not a soliflore shaping

so what the hell is this ,well i don,t know ,probably just a decorative purpose, , cute vase but you need a better assessor , , because i can,t see the purpose of the vase, sorry
