This 6 ounce (177Ml) glass container is from the Your Host Restaurant chain of the Western New York region. The chain became defunct in 1993.
Coffee in a glass vessel, to me, always tastes better in a glass or ceramic container than it does in a paper or styrofoam one.

      Ted_Straub, Cool. :-)

I would have thought that this was a container for cream rather than coffee. I have a smaller one (probably about one ounce, so a single serving size).

      However:

      Yes, sir.

I recall many years ago overhearing a European woman asking a beverage vendor for a ceramic container, explaining that plastic or especially styrofoam altered the flavor of the beverage in a negative way.

She didn't get what she wanted, because the vendor didn't have any ceramic containers (this being the US of A). I felt for her, because I knew exactly what she meant.

      Ted_Straub, You're welcome, FWIW.

I was initially resistant to the idea of this glass container being designed for coffee, because it seemed rather small (3.75" tall, 6 oz capacity), and had no handle. It also required a five cent deposit.

It's a mighty small cuppa, but then an old coffee addict like me should understand that when somebody needs some coffee and has an opportunity to get some, nothing else matters. };-)
