This cabinet card photograph features a man with his banjo and family.

The cabinet card is unmarked, but is typical of the 1880s.

Apparently the man was very fond of his banjo and felt the need to include it in this family photograph.

      Scott,
Looking at the distance he is standing from his family, your observation is spot on. It appears he was more "attached" to that banjo than his family. ;-)

He is probably the uncle of my third cousin, twice removed on my aunt' side, who changed his last name.
