Hello - I've been told this may be of European/Venetian/Bohemian origin. So far, I cannot seem to find anything like it. It does sound like leaded crystal and the stem is hollow with facets on the inside. It was found in my step grandmother's china closet after she passed, along with another piece that I'm also going to post. She had been married twice before she married my grandfather - unfortunately both husband one and two died but I do believe she traveled extensively thru Europe with one of them in the late 20's or early 30's. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I'm really curious to know what it might be.
Is the gold applied on the surface of the glass or inset into an engraved pattern ? If the latter, then this implies a higher quality product and I believe that Moser has to be a contender. I don't know which, if any, other glasshouses used this decorative technique.
I believe Moser too.
Spectacular!
