The gray Coke sign I have never seen and looks Porcelain, nice one!
Thanx it is the first coke button, part of a bigger sign from early 40's. It is a double sided sign and these gray buttons were on bottom.
Anybody who's interested in seeing the entire sign, check out eBay item 160694594201. (starting at a mere 1200 USD, in rough condition.) Not sure I've seen a complete example before. The gray, round section is pretty cool by itself.
I was interested in seeing a near complete sign thanks for posting link dave. if you ever see a fully complete one send me a link i too have not seen a complete example.

The grey coke button's bottle is patented dated Dec. 25 1923... That W swirl looks deco. (Could that be Woolworth's?) Are you SURE it's from the 40's?
Yes Celiene it is part of a much larger Coca Cola sign. There is also a yellow sign same size as this from the 30's and 40's with the bottle from a bigger sign too.
