This is an early line in the history of Loetz production...and while I have owned several of these over the years, they never cease to amaze me with their jewel-like appearance. For some reason, the cobalt blue ground (seldom seen) works much better than the more common green. Made in 1898 it is production # 7499, standing 6.5" tall.

When I purchased my 1st cobalt pampas I couldn't believe the shiny finish on the bottom. For a second I almost thought it was a fake. Later I found that many of the cobalt pampas pieces were finished on the bottom like this. Yours is a great example. Congratulations.
