I purchased this pedal car a few years ago at an antique store. It took a bit of research, but I finally got my hands on a copy of the 1916-17 Toledo Metal Wheel Company catalog in which this car appears. It reads "Empire" on the hood. Empire Motor Car Co. was in business between 1901 and 1919 and as near as I can tell, this pedel car would probably be meant to represent the Empire "20" Roadster. The car is functional, but un-restored and I plan to keep it that way. Just figured I'd put it out here as I've never seen a pedal car that represented an Empire vehicle. I don't normally collect antiques, but just couldn't resist purchasing it when I saw it. I really don't know what the actual value of the car would be, but it lives in our living room and we enjoy it..
BEAUTIFUL!

Awesome Pedal Car!
Much too nice to think about restoring, It's only original once!!
I would'nt be surprised if your car could bring $1000-2000, in a good auction,as it's not a very common model. Very nice piece of history!
Thanks for the info pickrknows !!! I agree on not restoring it. I feel it tells a story that might be lost if restored..
Thanks again !!!
Agree with pickrknows-- it was GREAT decision to leave it as is.
The aging to the paint and wood confirm its age. It would be de valued with any restoration.

Thanks Scott !!

WOW! Absolutely beautiful. Please leave it as is. No restoration! No restoration! :)
Thanks everyone !! No restoration.... I promise....
wow that's beautiful.
Leave it inside and don't ever restore that car. Somethings re better left alone, and that car is one. GORGEOUS !!!!!!!
Thanks !!!! I really appreciate all the comments !!!!
Didn't I see Alfalpha and Darla in the driver's seat and Spanky pushing?
I love it. That's an old one!
