      They appear to be US doughboys in a trench.

      Two of them have camo pattern painted helmets-- very visible on the guy in the background.

      Are they secured in the frame or can you get them out easily? If you can easily take them out there may be some information on the back of the image. I wouldn't risk causing damage to remove nails etc... if they are well secured in the frames.

      Tough to get this one out. I have toyed with the idea in the past. Afraid to ruin it.
      I just think this photo is great. I always wonder what happened to them all.

      The camo helmets are unusual and very desirable in WW1 photographs.

      Thanks Scott. I have some other photos, trench art and some German photos as well. Lead soldiers etc. Will get them out and photographed soon. I always like looking at your collection so keep yours coming!
