Is there anyone out there that knows what this is. I came across this while over seas, I have asked many about this but know one seemes to know what it is. I have tried to contact the Saint Louis crystal company but am having no luck finding contact info. This wieghs five pounds exactly. and has a very deco appearance. Can anyone fill in the blanks?

    I would apprecate any thoughts.

According to the website, St. Louis, France is one of the top 3 paperweight companies in the world. It would seem that this is simply a very nice paper weight !

Thanks you for your insight. I do believe though that due to its large size 8"x5"x2 1/2" and heavy wieght 5 lbs. that it must be something else. I have never seen a paperweight this large before.

Hi. Glass sculpture. Place it on one side and it might appear to be a moon over waves and horizon. On another side it may be a cubist image. On another surface it might hold a pen or two and some paperclips. The paperwight idea is also possible. Function, form and I envy you it.
The name Jean Sala is not always found on Saint Louis objects. It might be a start for further research. He worked at St Louis on and off until 1950. He was artistic director there from 1938 to 1944.
