The problem of researching American pottery is that it is like identifying band members in the '60's and '70's. Eric Clapton is with this band, no he's over there, wait, he's by himself... The same is true with not only potters, but decoraters and owners and even laborers moved based on pottery closings.
In researching Cameron Clay Products (I have a Facebook page by that name), I discovered that some of the shapes produced at CCP were listed in a book about FAP (Fredericksburg Art Pottery). Unfortunately much of the historical information is either missing or incorrect. The pictures are useful for visual identification.
The pieces listed in this post are claimed by FAP. The book suggests 2000 - 5000 pieces considering color variations. They list less than 700.
If you have any information about FAP, I would LOVE to hear it. I also have a Facebook page Fredericksburg Art Pottery Company. Please visit.
Love it! Thanks for posting I would like to learn more.
So cute.
