      In family photo albums as well, looks like they couldn't find pants long enough for one & short enough for the other. lol

      Thanks everyone. The short fellow was known as Sgt. Shorty. He made it through the entire war from Normandy - VE day without a Purple Heart. He joked about it saying that he was just too small of a target.

      Thanks musikchoo. Sorry I don't know the name of the tall fellow. The only writing on the back of the photo is in German and translates 'the biggest and the smallest"
