(584 items)
I took some pictures of my partner's collection this weekend and I cannot help but uploading some of them... specially this one: an amazing Loetz mounted on silver.
I will ask him about the proper data and write them down this evening or tomorrow, as i don't want to give false information.
Will keep you posted on this!

Ok, here is the "good information" about the vase: it was made exclusively for Lobmeyr with shape No. 411-00 in the Tiffany-Art decoration (in moss green and blue) in 1900. The silver mounting was made by the Viennese jewelers Rozet&Fischmeister (this firm is still in business nowadays) and is one of the few times Lobmeyr didn't commision the mountings to Gebrüder Frank.
I guess being made in 1900 explains the shape in a more floral or, as cogito said, a bit Archibald Knox-ish fashion, as it was made before their discovery of the work of Charles R. Mackintosh the Viennese designers emphasized in their characteristic geometric style.
By the way, you can see the amazing pictures of this vase backlit here:

Holy Cow! Amazing piece. Many of the glass purists will wish that it was unmounted, but personally I love it this way. I've never seen this mount type before...particularly the armatures. They have an Archibald Knox feel.
Thanks cogito. I know the jewellers who did the silverwork were from Vienna ("the finest in Vienna", I've been told) but it's funny it doesn't look Austrian at all. I will give the complete data soon.
Just imagine the day we do the "merge of the glass collections" LOL
I have got more pieces, but all of his are amazing... "no ordinary items" in his collection :)
This is really pretty! What a neat departure from your esthetic! Please put up an ugly piece so that I know you have flaws Austro:))
It's one of the most beautiful vases he's got
@Amber... well, we're happy we don't quarrel about who's buying which glass items, although he's dangerously fond of Per Lütken's and Bengt Orup's work! LOL
AMAZING-- I love it!
Scott

Do you know their shop in Vienna, Kärntner Strasse? If not, you have to book a trip to Vienna. They are still doing most amazing glass products, also very modern design in very fine "mousseline glass". But you know all that, for sure.
Never been to Vienna but it seems lobmeyr's would definitely be a spot notto miss :) I really really want to go there and see all that amazing Sezession architecture!
I love Vienna. There are good hotels which are not so expensive. And you have to eat a Tafelspitz at Plachutta's!
haha, i'll note it down so i don't forget :)
This is so unique! I love it!
crazy good
I love this!
"The merge of the glass collections"? OF COURSE!!! :) The idea of all our stuff in just one house is really appealing... but we'd need a huge place!!!
Amazing, gorgeous eye candy! Thanks so much for sharing photos of this rare example of Loetz.

Thanks so much, Sara! There are at least two collections here. All of Lötz and most of the best Swedish glass items belong to my partner's collection.

We've just added a fourth picture here. It's benntaken from Waltraud Neuwurth's book "Loetz Austria 1905-1918" and shows the work numbers and drawings for this vase and other two vases that Lobmmeyr commissioned to Loetz.
Thanks again Alexander and Carlos!
