Here is my 1959 Chevy Biscayne, factory 283ci with power glide tranny.
It has power steering, power brakes and ice cold a/c. It had a triple deuce carburetor on it, but I couldn't keep the darn thing running right so we replaced it with a 650 edelbrock carb and now it purrs like a kitten. We take it to cars shows and Sunday ice cream runs. Thanks for looking!
Nice Chevrolet !
I went to the dealer with my dad in 59 to pick up his brand new Chevy. It was two tone, blue and white
Thanks official!
Thanks RonM, it's hard to see in the pics, but the top is silver.

What a great car, It takes me back, I tried to get my older brother to buy a 1959 convertible, gray with red interior, but Dad wouldnt let him buy it, back in 1967.
Thanks EJW-54, wow a convertible in todays market would be worth big money. I was looking at some old video (1960) of my grandfathers home and in the garage he had two 1959 Eldorado Cadillac convertibles, one for him and one for grandma. I never knew that until I watched the video a couple of months ago. Only if we had a crystal ball, we would know what to keep and what to get rid of.
Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet! : ) Sweet ride....
Thanks electobacco, all that sounds great, u forgot to mention ice cream! Lol
The custom Gods smile down on you from their heavenly garage. Looks like it just came off the cover of the little rod mags back in the day. NICE !!!!
Thank you Vontrike!
Thanks ERMELIN for stopping by, It's great to reminisce about the good ol days, I do it often, especially in the 59. I pop in an elvis cd, turn the volume up and cruise right back to the 50's.
Thank you stonesfan1, chevelleman69, nascaronmain.com, Isjewels, EJW-54, and Electobacco.
Thank you Vontrike, MooreAntique, walksoftly, sandhardin, straightleg, egreeley1976, Designer, timetraveler, and ttomtucker for all the love!
If you ever want to go back to the 3 X 2 set up, I have a friend in Michigan who is a master with multiple carb set ups.
Very nice Biscayne.
Thanks for stopping by gvgordon, I will probably keep it the way it is, I haven't had to mess with the carb since the change over. Thanks again!
Thank you Stonie for the love!
Wow nice ride, would love to find a 59.
Thanks Trey, these cars seem to be getting harder to find, good luck on your search for one!
Oh, how lucky you are!
It is not a Toyota or another Japan crap!
North American cars co should make these now too in 2012, similar, I say!!!
What do you think?
Yeah Benking they could make them, but probably would cost to much to build them. Cars back then had character and you could tell them apart, today cars all look the same. I saw a car yesterday I swore was a Mercedes, but it turned out to be a Honda.
Thanks Chevy!
You are right metal from Canada and USA are now sent to be molded in Japan...
and maybe now Obama sends it to China?
Let's get back to do our own cars, I say!
No more juts Japanese asses as all cars now look like!
We need individual North American car cos like Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford... to create again at home!!!
My friend can barely get in mother's Dodge car, as his head goes through the roof
and he curves too much his body in order to sit somehow!
I often have back troubles because I drive that Japan molded car!!!
How can we get back OUR cars and trucks to be ours for our bodies!!! =- ???
I love your car!
Ermein, you say just like I did and do:
we need our own North American cars for OUR own bodies!
Just like Dodge, Chev and Ford did do then in the 50's, 60's...
we nned to do now in 2012 likewise!
Thanks rafael!
Thank you ignatz for the love!
Thank you vetraio50!
Thanks PDAM, I usually get my dad had one of these cars when I was a kid, and they are usually in there 70's. Lol
That has got to be one of the greatest looking cars I have ever seen! WOW
Thanks jamiedpt for the nice comment. I feel the exact same way you do when I first laid eyes on her!
Love that design! My uncle had a '59 El Camino in red & white. My dad's cousin was on the Chevrolet design team in those days and he supposedly had a lot to do with the design of this car. Very COOL!
Thank you Buick55, 59 El Camino's are awesome as well, I wish they would remake the 59 in todays market, probably would be pretty cool!
Thank you NWclocks, jamiedpt, Manikin, and jjackson for the love!
I heard that someone or company bought the factory molds for the 57 chevy and they are stamping them out maybe just a story don't know.
Yeah there is a car out there called the 789 corvette, the front of the car is a 57 chevy, the middle is 1958 chevy, and the rear end is of a 59 chevy, here is a link

I was about 11-12 yrs old when my friend Larry's mom got one of these, a blue 4 door sedan. She would take us to the municipal swimming pool every day, and then we would wait at a nearby corner to catch my dad on his way home from work. We'd ride home in the back of his blue & white '59 Ford pickup. Great memories.
Oh, the memories!! Thanks for posting this excellent automobile! Jimbo
Thank you Winterwolf for the love, I love 1950's cars, they have lots of character and chrome!
Thank you jimborasco for the love and nice comment!
Nice. Very well done. Being my birthyear and a lover of ElCaminos, I am presently restoring one.Body is ready. Frame has all suspension and steering back on. Time to put the pieces back together. Saw a 59 2 door for sale. Told the wife we could have a set. She didn't go for it.
Thanks billyg, if the price was right on the 59 2 door, I would buy it and sit on it. These cars are getting very hard to find. Good with luck with the restoration!
Really nice ride...
Thank you old school for the love and nice comment.
