Hello,
I am trying to figure out the model number for my mom's Longines. I believe is from the 50's. It was bought in Italy. That's all I know. Should I open the back cover to find out more infos? Any ideas on the value?
Thank you

Hello Italy66,
I have just been looking for info on a longines watch I have. I am sure someone on this website will help you out with more info. You will need to pop the back off and take some more pictures. A nice sharp well lighted close up of the movement would be good. List the serial number, number of jewels, caliber number (probably in a little rectangular box). Does it run? That is a nice looking band, is it original to the watch and does it have any markings. Any markings on the back cover on the case?
I am afraid to opening it...It works fine. I do not know if it is a screw on or pry off back cover. I will have to take it to a watch repairmen. The band is original to the watch and is 18k gold. thats the only mark on the whole watch.
