This is an Native American bag that I just recently recieved. It's been handed down through the family. The story that comes with it is that my Grandmother got this when she was a young girl (probably 1900-1905) at the Corn Palace in South Dakota.
I believe it is either a medicine bag or pipe bag. It is heavily beaded and has a different beaded scene on each of it's four sides. It measures about 8.5" in length including the beaded fringe at the bottom.
The condition is very good because it has been in a cedar chest for at least the past 70 years, if not longer. The only problem with this piece is that one of the four beaded 'ball...pom poms (?)' is sadly missing.
I really don't know much about this bag, so if you have expertise in this area, please let me know what it is that I have and any info would be hugely appreciated......( I will get pictures of the other three sides of this bag and post them too.)

      Thanks MysticIndian!
I really had no idea what I had. All I knew is that it came from my grandmother, who grew up in SD, handed down from my dad. And the story that went with it that she bought it at the Cow Palace.
Thanks again for your help. Any idea what it might be worth?
