Can you tell me more about this mug?

My father said it has been around his whole life so it is at least 75=80 yrs old.
It is marked 0.5l on rim and on bottom is GERMANY 1247 inprinted in the mold
The toad is so life like!
This is actually a picture I found on the internet but it is the same mug acording to my father.
Thank you for any info...we have always wondered about it.

I have this exact "frog"mug. It is an old "Westerwald" 1/2litre stoneware blue/gray saltglaze mug. Mold number 1247 and GERMANY. etched on the base
      Circa: about 1890
      Manufactured by Reinhold Hanke
Value? There was one on Ebay around August 2015 that the asking price was $450.00 - NO BIDDERS!!
I paid $9.00 for mine at an antique shop a while ago.
