wow stringman! thanks!! =) my bf is experienced in it, and he did take it apart, and re-strung it. i won't part with it!! it's really the only thing i know of my grandpa. =)

thanks so much for the input! it's more valuable for the fact it was my grandpas, i didn't kno him...this is what i kno of him. this and him small role in alices restaurant... =)
a friend of mine looked at this on the outside.. still not 100% but he told me: "not a fender looks like its definitley 70"s and looks like gibson pickups" any input on that?
just got around to research, 2737-842 was a gibson pick-up patent...

thanks! but no, no markings at all! short of taking it apart and looking where the pieces meet... for all i kno it could be custom made?
ok cool,1927,1937 are the years, so thank you, wasn't sure if it was a huge thing that a lot of companies did, or rare.
