After doing some research I am assuming this is ABC glass strawberry fan pattern. This was my great grandmother's glass and was probably a gift because she was a very simple and thrify woman.

I am not sure what some of these things were used for. I know the carafe,, pitcher and bud vase but don't know what the other ones might be. Is there anyone who knows what they are and what they were used for?

These items are not marked but I am sure they are genuine because of their age.

I'm pretty certain all pieces pictured are pressed glass. I believe there is a spooner and rose bowl in addition to the pieces you've already named. Strawberry diamond and fan is cut glass terminology, but I'm not sure what it is called for pressed glass.

So is the pressed glass like a knock off of the cut glass? I do not know the story about where my great grandmother got it but it would be interesting to know more about the pressed glass. This has been in the family for years and everyone thought it was crystal! Obviously we are novices and don't know much about it! What do you look for in determining if it is pressed or crystal?

Pressed glass is mechanically made glass. During the American Brilliant Period there was a huge industry imitating the designs of the more expensive, hand made, heavily leaded cut glass. I could give you characteristics that I see on your grandmother's pieces that clue me in to them being pressed but to each I could say there are exceptions. Therefore it would be best for you to learn by acquiring what you are certain is a cut glass piece or two, studying and comparing them to your pressed glass.
