I probably owe much of my mis-spent youth (as well as my mis-spent adult years) to books like these.
I would scour the news stands for the next issue and pour over the stories where the heros, Scott Jackson and Clint Curtis, would give those cheatin', dirty drivin', low life skunks there comeupence.
Been a gearhead and hotrodder as long as I can remember and I have these stories to thank (blame) for shaping my young mind all those years ago.
Originaly Carlton and then CDC when DC bought them out. Picked up this small lot of 13 from a fellow collector today.

Yea, Dave. It is niche market for sure. Not a lot of folks are aware these existed. Makes them somewhat affordable so that's OK.

I've been to a couple of toy shows and asked the comics dealers, "Got any Hot Rod comics?". Scored a few that way but I have a ways to go before I catch up with you. Yeah, it's a great niche.
