In the early 1990s, my maternal grandfather died. We were close. Throughout the years of visiting my grandparent's house, ever since I was very little, I was persistently fascinated by this little nodder dog vide poche, which sat on top of a small television in their house. I would flick its head and watch to see how long it took to stop nodding.
When my grandfather passed away, I was asked if there was anything I wanted from the estate. My choice was clear.
I know nothing about this little cold painted bronze other than I love it for the memories it contains. Now my young daughter flicks the head and stares intently at the nodding motion...
Thanks, Bellin.
