Though these are not really that old, they still are of great interest with their design and graphics.
I obtained the mirror at an auction 1n 2011, and the tin from a cigar store as one of their discards back in the 70s.
Hi, aghcollect…. appreciate your love of this mirror and tin!
Dad smoked 'em! Many hate the smell of cigar smoke. Not me..brings my dad to mind. thanks for sharing the containers.
container and mirror.
Thank you, mareredware for both the love of these items and for your most appreciated comments. Yes, my Dad smoked cigars, too, and I occasionally go in for a stogie. I find the aroma of cigars to be nostalgic, too!
I am happy that you like the container and the mirror…it is good to share such things!
You may be interested, but the image on the mirror is a copy of a painting by the Dutch painter Rembrandt.
Good evening mp.kunst... I was aware of that as I have an interest in art.
With the cigars being named after a famous painting, I suppose that we can say in this case, at least, that "Life imitates Art" ????
Thank you for both your keen observation, and for your illuminating input.
