i love the fabric and whimsy of men's neckties -- but as they seem to be falling out of the fashion world -- one sees them by the hundreds in the outlets and thrift stores -- hated to see them just going to the landfills -- so came up with how i could use them in my house to decorate the furniture -- hope you like them as much as i do -- they have really added color and and some class to the house

thanks vetraio -- i made my first quilt last winter using the ties -- i used men's suite material for the background -- pic2 is one of the 9 blocks used in the quilt --

hi ho2cultcha -- neat idea -- ted and i like to upholster also -- have not tried using the ties for that project -- i did antique rocker this summer -- used needlepointed roses on the back and leather for the seat -- was all winter trying to finish that needlepointing project

These are really lovely. How long does it take? Do you fuss with placement forever?
I have done needlepoint projects like that where you kind of start thinking....maybe leather would work on both places : )))
