Wooden "Ingham County Sheriff's Posse" Sign

I found this at a local Antique Mall. It's an old wooden sign that reads "Sheriff's Posse Ingham Co." I live in Ingham Co., Michigan; I don't know much about our local Sheriff's Posse, but It was too cool of a sign to not pick up. The back of the wooden sign has part of a horse's head on it, which makes sense due to the fact that it's the Mounted Unit. I love anything that's unique and special to my hometown area. Sorry that the picture is crooked.

UPDATE (9/7/12)--
The Ingham County Sheriff's Posse was founded in 1953 and the name was changed to the Mounted Unit in the early 1980s. So it's from 1953-1980, I would guess the earlier of that range.
