I found this figurine at a local thrift shop. I think she is very beautiful. I know I have seen figures like this before but know very little about identifying it. She is about 5" tall, the felt on the bottom is pretty old looking but I can't really date her by that. There seems to be a small repair on her back, left kidney area, don't know if it shows up. And I took off the felt to see if there was a number or something. Nothing that I can see.
Can anyone give me some ideas on this? She is definitely made of some sort of metal. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much Phil! I was immediately taken by her tranquility as well.
Now I am on a mission to find her twin!
Your deco collection is quite impressive, what beautiful style.
thanks
I always like things like this.
Me too blunderbuss.
She's lovely Cindy. As soon as i read she was a bookend it was obvious.
Take care of that bad kidney. If she is from a bought out mold there won't be an identifying number although you may find signs of a rectangular shape where the mold number was ground off before use. If you could find an image of the original with a mold or foundry number to compare it with you could probably verify what company mold it was produced from. Either way it is unique even without the twin.
