I had a gap in my day. Usually I would hit a thrift, but I was in the middle of no where with an hour to kill. I was driving down a street actually looking for a gas station...what's that? Estate Sale!!!
This was an 8 bedroom mansion and about a 10 minute wait to get in. The house was filled with what I like to call "Home Goods junk" and not my lovely vintage...wait what is that...in the pantry...Blenko! Not just one carafe, but eight. I didn't get my hopes too far up as I expected a crazy price tag...nope...four bucks each!!
Needless to say I jumped. But how are you suppose to carry 8 carafes to check out? I think I became a bit of a pain for the staff because I insisted they come help carry. Well...there were a lot.
You will also notice that this picture has been taken outside...hubby as yet unaware of purchase...

Hey Lundy, these run anywhere from 20 to 35 dollars each. After friendly negotiations with the hubby...he kindly requested that I not turn into a hoarder...I have gotten a booth at the Randolph Street Market here in Chicago. I will offload a chunk of these there. Probably go with 20. I plan on posting pictures of the experience and CW is sending me CW swag to promote the site. It will be a lot of work but I'm excited.

Hey Austro! Actually it is a little overwhelming as these guys take up some room and are pretty heavy. Hubby still doesn't know but I have snuck a couple of the ones that I particularly like into the house. Heh heh heh.

Going in for set up this afternoon!!! I have two truckloads. As much getting set up tonight as possible then the rest early tomorrow morning. I am laying bets on what I will pull out of the sale to bring back. : ))
I am going to try not to buy anything but will keep my eye out for an 8 ringer Festivo and Abraham Palatnik. But I am a cheap one so I don't know if I can stand to pay retail!
