Hello All,
I got this today
My guess is that it's antique and Chinese in origin, but I really don't know.
It has some wear,( the design is in relief, and the raised areas have been abraded over the years ), but it's very beautiful.
Approximately 9-10 inches in diameter, unmarked on back,( I'll post a photo of the back tomorrow ).
Do you suppose it is Chinese?, and old?
I believe that the design may be 3 stylized moths, around the inner blue triangle with the gold accented flower in the middle.
I'd love to know more about it if it looks familiar to anyone
Big Thanks,
Tony.
Thanks for the love Sean, miKKo and Tony
I hope you're all staying well
Beautiful!...:-)
Might be Imari too, Tonino! Look forward to seeing the other photo.
Gotheborg japanese?
Imari was simply the trans-shipment port for Arita wares
Hello Kevin, Thanks for the comment.
I added a photo of the back of the plate,
sure wish it had some kind of mark.
So you think it could be Japanese?
I'll look up Gotheborg,....very interesting.
Big Thanks,
Tonino

How unique, it is really nice.
Unusual Imari pattern with blue transfer decoration in triangular moth design, probably from the Meiji period (1868-1912)
