Here is a rather large and thick pocket watch sometimes referred to as a "crystal ball" watch because of the two high domed crystals (front crystal is a replacement unfortunately). Made about 1810 it is an English Verge Fusee. The movement is very ornate, engraved Capt. Smith Bristol 39, it has large pillars and a nice diamond end stone. The balance has strong motion and great sound when running. I have a period key to wind and set this watch.
What a gorgeous thing, beautiful in so many ways! Thank You for posting it.
