It is my belief that if you inspire a child when they are young, you can teach them. If you wait until the 12th grade you have lost them. I put together my Black History collection to be put in the elementary school media centers during Black History Month.
Books, records, art...what ever I could find. The books speak for themselves.
Thanks for posting this. I just ordered the Leroi Jones book from Amazon. I read a lot of music and music history books, but I was unaware of this one.
