Hello!,
This is a Beautifully Shaped Meissen cup and saucer that I picked up today in Orleans, ( a town not too far from Centerville, where I live and work ).
I got all excited by the shape, the blue painting, and the nice mark on the bottom of each piece. I guess it would be a small tea/coffee/chocolate cup size.
Do you think it's an older piece?
Thanks for taking a look,
Tonino

Superb and remarkable form!!! I did a quick search to see if I could find this remarkable shape, and could not. I think that the pattern is perhaps Meissen's blue and white 'Onion' pattern. Stunning!!! Suggest you brew a pot of your best Darjeeling to grace the teacup. Good night, Tony! : )
Thank You miKKo, I'm glad to have this forum to share this beautiful cup with you.
Good night to you, Dear M

Some years ago I visited the Meissen factory in Germany, stunning beautiful pieces and growing very valuable with age!
