My grandparents owned this beautiful piece. I love it! I was told by an expert that this jardinière could be a fish tank or a flower pot that dates to around the Guangxu period (1875-1908) of the Qing dynasty or a few years later into the Early Republic period It's supposedly a typical export piece for the South East Asian market, most probably the Malaccan peninsula today's Malaysia and possibly Singapore. The expert didn't recognize the pattern since it has dragon in it which is supposedly very unusual for this type of design. There's no maker's mark on the bottom. It is approx. 12 inches high with a 17 inch radius.
