Wow I was out today doing some treasure hunting and ran across this book FLYING WITH LINDBERGH I bought it for $3.99 well when I opened the book on the empty page was a hand written letter to Don I am thinking it is the author Donald E Keyhoe the letter reads Dear Don now that our tour has been completed I want to thank you for the large part you played in its success the interest in aviation displayed by the cities along our route was greater than I had even hoped for and I believe that it will result in a noticeable increase in airanautical activity sincerely Charles Lindbergh this is a 4th edition the any help would be great
thanks I did look up the signature it is spot on any idea were to get it authenticated and any idea of what a letter like this is worth if its real
Who would forge Lindbergh's signature & then sell it for $3.99? I feel a "Newfie" joke coming on. Congratulations for a great find.
I think that you will find that the inscription is a PRINTED copy that was a part of the book rather than a hand signed inscription.
A close up of the "writing" shows telltale signs of printing rather than hand writing.
Research on the book will probably confirm what I am saying.
